Back when I was helping in a small lab, we kept debating this late over coffee: in early immune response studies, how reliable are conjugated anti-IgM secondaries for teasing apart primary versus later antibody phases? I once saw oddly mixed signals during a rushed serology run, and that doubt has followed me ever since.

From my side, it’s never felt completely black and white. I’ve used conjugated anti-IgM secondaries and they’re helpful, but context matters a lot. Sample timing, background reactivity, even storage can blur the picture. When I first tried to wrap my head around the lgm full form, I stumbled on this explainer. It helped me understand why IgM shows up fast but doesn’t always behave neatly in real experiments. Personally, I treat the results as one clue, not the final word.
